Burr-Brown Professional Series is a realtime data acquisition, controland digital signal processing system that plugs directly into any IBMPX/XT/AT-compatible slot. It consists of the PCI-20202C Smart Carrier,Burr-Brown's standard PCI-20 Series Data Acquisition and ControlModules, and several data acquisition, control and signal processingsoftware packages.The Smart Carrier contains a TMS320C25 Digital Signal Processingsubsystem that is available in either a 28 MHz or 40 MHz version, and 32Kwords (expandable to 96K words) of zero wait state local memory forprogram and data storage. The host computer downloads programs to theSmart Carrier and maintains supervisory control.All realtime activities, such as high-speed data acquisition and control,are handled locally by the Smart Carrier, freeing the host computer fromrealtime intensive tasks. Available software includes the PCI-20203SDSP Library Plus, a resident library of 75 common data acquisition andsignal processing routines.
